Data science is not as lineara a learning path, in the sense that it relies on both technical experts and multiple fields. It's hard to prove your track record with mechanical engineering or electronics. A lot of companies are still in a space where they're uncertain on the valued provision that data scienceposes for them. So how do you learn an operating environment? How do you deal with internal ty office poitics like corperat environments? The field is still at a whole different stage than most other industries.
