The Paradox of Anomalies

I think that what Charles Fort was doing, he was performing a kind of experiment. He was massing enough of these by bloating the weird category file so much that it would become increasingly harder to ignore it. And I think that that's kind of what happens in a society that anomalies accumulate. We do our best to forget them, but nevertheless, the remembered anomalies accumulate to such a degree that a paradigm shift becomes necessary. It's how the birth of modern science happened.
