Over 800,000 workers took to the streets and joined in on that third uprising. Similar strikes had also been organized in Wuhan and Tianjin. The Communists were feeling a little bit too cocky after they proved their medal in Shanghai. They made an attempt to consolidate their gains. But Jiang Kai's Shek came down hard on them.
