Reform Processes in the British Empire

There were many attempts at er trying to reform corrupton in this period. Reform processes took place over a very, very long period of times. Many arose from particular scandals around individuals which forced people to think more about how the system as a whole could be corrected. So impeachment was one way of trying to reform it, purging out the bad apples. Other means of reform gathered pace in the late eighteenth century and into the nineteenth century - often called the age of reform.
