The Fear of Terrorism
After 9-11, for 12 months fatal crashes were in every month above the average. And if you sum this up, then you get about 1,600 people who died on the road. That's about five times as much as those people who died in the four fatal flights. This type of fear that I call dread risk fear is a kind of fear that was once rational at a time where humans lived in small groups.
