Seven Altars in the Torah
The seven altars in the Bible are probably dedicated to seven different deities. This might seem kind of weird to us, but it wouldn't have been weird for people during this time. The Israelites were very unique in that, even though they did practice idolatry, at least officially, according to their own beliefs and scriptures.
