From 1950 to 56, their unbeaten except in one match, which is a 1954 World Cup final. In amongst that, they beat some of the best teams in the world. They become Olympic champions because they're really kind of amateur players. This was an incredible side who clearly were playing a brand of football far beyond what the masters of football in inverted commas could produce.
