The Russian Narrative
The term rus is complicated in this way. It was used differently throughout even the very early mediaeval period. Once christianity comes trus and writing comes trus, it is clerics and ecclesiastics that control the narrative. The trust is always on a common language, common religion and common dynasty. And i hope i've undermined those a little bit just now. Very much.
