The Battle of Power Dynamics

There's no real respect for the individual. People are seen as a player in this battle of power dynamics. If they say something which is seen as speaking into a white supremacist or patriarchal discourse, they are not somebody who is making a mistake. They are a an agent of this oppressive force. Then we have that underlying cynicism and I think that cynicism makes people very harsh and angry. It really is a battle between good and evil and people, the bad players just have to be taken out. The amount of popular support for the book which, given how academic it is is somewhat surprising.
