The Tension of the Bible
The Lord Jesus, the night before his death, was in the Garden of Gethsemane. He knew that in a matter of hours he'd be going to the cross. As he kneels down to pray, he says to God, if it's possible, take this cup away from me. That's the central tension of the Bible. How can a God who is wholly forgives sin? How does he end evil without ending evil doers? And it's only resolved in Jesus Christ.
