The Role of Culture in Estrangement

I'm seeing more south and east Asian parents of my practice, but they're still the vast minority. I do think it's because of these more interdependent lifestyles and emphasis more kind of confusion, ideals of family obligation to parents and to elders. In Latin American culture, there's the notion of a familyism, so this idea of strong family values in African American culture. But even within the United States, Latin, it's very rare for me to see Latin American parents like sometimes stupid.
