The Volar Approach to Bone Grafting

The inlay or roost bone graft is a non-vascularized cortical cancerless bone graft. The approach is the Volar approach using the interval between the FCR and the radial artery. A headless compression screw can be placed distal to proximal for the dorsal approach. Know that bleeding from the fracture intraoperatively is highly predictive of a vascularized proximal pole fragment.
