The Origins of Finlandization in the Cold War
The origins of finlandization really came from the moscow treaty in september, i believe, of 19 forty four. This was essentially an imposed treaty from from the soviets that involved giving up land and forcing finland to hold war crimes trials for its wartime political leaders. And also, did it not lead to a 50 year lease for a crucial part of finland's territory very close to the capital, helsinki.
