George Loehm and the Impact Player
George Loehm's bowling style would have been perfect for short form cricket. He comes across as one of those modern day medium paces who has such subtleties when it comes to change of pace. His normal pace was medium and he took a run of moderate length, poised himself with a slight uplifting of his high square shoulders and delivered the ball just before his hand reached the top of its circular swing. What a beautiful line. Imagine if you had those skills in modern day cricket. You would have been a superstar. Maybe he could have been the impact player in the IPL. How cool would that have been? I can hear, I can picture it in the IPE
