Young people tend to adopt new fashions much more readily. Henry VIII wore what was known as Al-Main Style clothes, Al-Amania from Germany. And the joke about people from Britain and particularly the English was that they wore a little bit of everybody's fashions. People often bought clothes in the second hand trade.
