The Problem With Pragmatism
If you want certain stories or facts to be true, but don't really realize that you want them to betrue, you're more likely to think they're true. And i think this is one of the reasons why you get intellectual fads and an herdish am a ou kno behaviour among alite progressives all the time. A, because they don't really think through about what are our first principles? What are the, you know, where do we come down? The problem with pragmatism is it makes you very susceptible to thinking all politics are just about contact, contests of power.
