The Times' Distancing From Daily Coverage
The times has already been distancing itself from daily coverage even of new york teams. They certainly don't cover the ins and outs of the local teams with the depth and consistency that they did for decades. The reporters who are reassigned to the business desk or the culture desk going to have a different sort of calling than they did working inside sports where you're already doing that stuff.
