The All-American
The All-American is the shotgun blast that leaves our ears ringing and our nostrils burning. If you love the All-American, you can't look away from its violence. The imagery really haunts me. It makes me feel soft for thinking I had been around a lot of animal violence and death as a kid. What kind of toll does it take that we look around and no one's talking about it? No one seems to want to look at it.
