Is There a Sense of Medieval Attitudes in a Contemporary Monastic Community?

Actu does bring in some elements of ote mediaeval mind sir, absolutely. And i don't think, and you knowway, i'm speaking on behalf of the monks of downsetere, which i should, of course, not do. But i don't Think they'd be offended if they heard you say that what they do has mediaeval aspects to it,. because it's not really derogatory at all. It's much more a heritage, a tradition that they embrace quite actively as do most monastic communities.
