How Did You Get Your First Podcast?
When he was eight or nine his grandpa got me a little recorder and I would go around my house recording myself pretending to interview people. So did you ever think one day you were going to be doing something like this as a job? No. I thought I would be a newspaper reporter. That was really what I thought I'd do or hoped that I would do. After college I ended up doing a series of random things including selling science, working for an insurance broker and just having all these odd jobs. Then I actually went back to school in science because I wanted to be a science writer but it took this interesting detour through science that ultimately brought me back to doing a science podcast
