Provocative Tests for Tendons
In the case of AIN syndrome, one must distinguish from FPL-attritional rupture which is seen in rheumatoid arthritis. One does this by passively flexing and extending the wrist to confirm Tino-Desis effect in an intact tendon. With an intact or partially torn tendon, the finger can be inserted 1cm beneath the tendon. False positives may occur if there is a partial tear, an intact laceratous fibrosis or an underlying brachialis tendon.
