The White House Cyber Security Strategy
The President presented the Medal of Honor to retired Colonel Paris Davis. Under enemy fire with a gunshot wound in his leg Colonel Davis saved the lives of his troops during an intense battle in 1965. The White House plans to increase its own regulatory power on critical industries and require companies to meet minimum cyber security standards. It seeks to hold software companies liable for not building better security into their products.
