The One-Dimensional Path to Making Meaning of Society

I think what we're doing is we're investing a considerable amount of computational reasoning and giving them automated and substantive decision-making power. And what this ends up doing is fore-closing politics. The more we automate our decisions about how public spaces to be organized, how societies are developed, it limits our ability to engage in the politics required to solve most of our problems. We sometimes forget that politics is about rewards and distribution, who gets things and for what reason.
