Ghana's Parliament Has Abolished the Death Penalty
Ghana joins 124 other countries around the world who have removed capital punishment from their penal codes. There are still 14 countries that actively carry out executions on the continent. 16 others carry the statute, but haven't killed anyone in the last 10 years. Libya, the US, China, and Iran are among the countries that have carried out the most executions worldwide.
