The Meaning of Ras'ala
Ras'ala means to send in batches and eventually it became primarily to send small groups of camels to get water. And so the phrase was the Arabs would say, Arasalu ibn al-Hum. They let their camels go. So from sending in batches it became sending them out for the water and then it became letting it grow and being free. The term Ras'ala was then derived to indicate a message that is sent. Modern Arabs use Ras'ala for a letter. When they say a letter they say Ras'ala. From the origin of the connotation of letting the camels go into the water. Nowadays nowadays now means to send unconditionally.
