We are seeing some severe distress emanating from the US household sector. We have to recall that it's advertised on every medium known in financial media. The employee retention credit is pumping about $20 billion a month into the US economy. That makes it really hard to tease out spending trends when the highest income earners are getting $20billion a month from Uncle Sam through the IRS.
