The search for the 'higgs boson' has taken 40 years and cost ten billion uroes in total. It's probably the biggest scientific adventure since the apollo moon missions a minit was on that sort of scale. What we want to know is how those bozons, which were bubbling in very hot condition in early universe, came to form. We just know that it is there because we've made one bubble up and reveal wherethe higgs field has been in the history of the universe.
