If we picked any year in world history, we'd really struggle to cover all of it. But hopefully this will give listeners an introduction to some of the key themes that were going on in 1500. The center of global power sits in what you might call Eurasia. That's where emerging imperial powers lie. Of course, that is a world Europe, Africa and Asia, which still has no connection as yet to the Americas.
