The Role of Risk Scores in Criminalization
I think that this whole framework itself is a way of avoiding talking about the structural aspects and the social relational aspects of who is criminalized. In fact, we've seen since the rise of mass incarceration, the proportion of people with antisocial personality diagnoses has decreased. I'm thinking back to the conversation I had with Mon M and Diana Joy about the No New Jail's campaign in New York’s fight against opening like a new feminist jail.
