The Age of the Writer

I've always written, but I think during the 20s and 30s, I just let it go. And then in my 40s, inspired by a friend actually, I went, well, she can do it, give it a go and see what happens. Now this is like a, this is middle grades 10 to 14. So what appeal, why were you drawn to that age? What appealed to you that made you kind of think, that's the age I'm going to write?"
