Is There a Concentration of Power in the Supermarket Industry?
The Justice Department made what I think a silly legal argument, but nevertheless, five publishers going down to four seems like a concentration of power that should be blocked. Same argument applies even more so in a merger that's 12 times the size in the supermarket industry. Politicians are already blithering about it. But do you see the FTC trying to block this? I would be shocked if they didn't try to do something.
