The Effects of Radiation on Free Living Dogs
Scientists have found that populations of semi-feral dogs have been in this Chernobyl area for many decades after the accident. They're trying to figure out if radiation exposure has had any mutational effect, because we don't know from this kind of analysis yet if there's anything going on there. And they also say we unexpectedly found that within a small area, right, 0.2 square kilometers,. We got three family groups existing, which is quite interesting. The difference here is that even if humans aren't sort of purposefully setting up mating pairs as part of a pure bred dog scheme, humans are still having a massive influence on how these dogs behave.
