The Role of Vows in the Society
If a daughter makes a vow, this is when she's still under the authority of her father still at home. So not married. If she makes a vow and her father hears her making a vow, it's basically up to him to decide whether to let that vow stand or basically to annul it. The husband has the authority over his wife in terms of in terms of the vows. A woman who's widowed or a woman who's divorced, then she has the independence to make or to not make a vow according to the freedom that that she's been given.
