The Left in Labor Are Supporting Expansionary Monetary Policy
A big change from the 1970s to now is that today financiers and owners of assets traditionally are not only benefiting enormously from expansionary monetary policy but in fact seem to have become fundamentally dependent upon it. This dependence is arguably one of the distinctly new features of capitalism that has emerged from the ashes of the economic crisis. So what how should we think about all this? It's really complicated and I you know it's the kind of thing I'm surprised that I haven't seen closer analysis of in the business press.
