How to Convince Everybody Else That This Is a Good Idea

There are a lot of resources. It's just knowing what questions to ask, knowing that you can do it differently is a thing. So make sure you're asking what content goes in here instead of just blindly saying, okay, I have this wireframe. Now I'm going to turn it into pixels or whatever it is you're getting. That's one way. Start with something that you have a lot of control of or other people don't have and try to do that first. Try to do a little, little bit of the process yourself as well.
