I think of it a little bit as like when we're playing pool, and, you know, you hit the ball from the side, and then it goes off in a straight line, but in a different direction. And lo, these paradimes, at least when we're looking at them analytically in the rearview mirror, with the help of scholars and academics, we see these as good things. But i am also thinking about how lex and i have recently been talking with some folks about the subject of conversions and people coming to judaism. All of which are ideas that lex and i are constantly fighting against.
