The Weird Construct of Aristotle

Herman: Weirding Aristotle means taking this idea of substantial form and using it in such a way that it almost becomes like a practice of animism. What's weird is to think about things having a substantial form that doesn't exist for us or for anything, and that also isn't about anything. And if you actually relate to objects in this way, I mean, that's how we relate to people. We treat people as people who have their own lives that go on whether we're there to observe them or not. It's very much like what an animist does. In fact, it's exactly what animists do.
