How Do You Know if You Can't Talk About Wolves?

I wanted to show readers that there is a way for these shared lands to function and there's ways that you can manage a herd. There are people that were, you know, lassapo ranchers that I'd love to talk to but if I go on the record talking to someone writing a book about wolves, my neighbors will have anything to do with me. You know, there's a lot of, you talked to a lot of people, you build a relationship and they're just too scared. And I think that speaks to the real vitriol on this sort of, as you say, anti-wolf contingent side where the wolf is much bigger than the animal.
