I'd Rather Kick Up My Feet and Not Do the Work Right
In a socialist future everybody has to work four hours a week doing the kind of undesirable or necessary labor tasks that can't be automated away you show up for a very reduced time at the factory. I just like can't help but think there's always going to be somebody who's like I'd rather kick up my feet and like not do the work right, he says. We would tend to disapprove of people who didn't do their share right because we're all mutually interdependent so our freedom depends upon how we institutionally set this up and on what others do. People will feel sometimes quite intense social pressure right to to use their time in an emancipated society.
