There's only one spider in LA, and I find them all the time. They're strictly not eternal, so you won't see them until way past kind of 11 or 10 nights. Their bite is medically significant, but they're beautiful animals. Venom is a very difficult thing, very expensive thing for an animal to create. If you drop a black widow from probably three or four feet, they'll explode like a cherry.
