So far we've got simpler explanations are sensor spoofing, very possible. Is this some kind of human experiment from the future? I don't know. Here's one you may not have heard a lot about, but I think it's actually more likely than alien technology. There are many in ufology that believe that all flying sources are a form of time travel or could be a forms of time travel.
