There's been some really interesting research over the last 10 or 15 years into something called neuroplasticity and this does relate to the stress question. Every time we sit and meditate, it actually trains the cortex in the brain and that cortex gets thicker and stronger. So as a direct result, we experience less stress. But not only that, the brain becomes less reactive. We find a kind of a place in our mind where we no longer kind of reacting to things from a sort of a knee-dirt reaction. Instead, we're able to maintain this perspective where we sort of step back, we see things a little bit more clearly and instead we respond to them in the way
