The medical examiner says jane's death is consistent with a suicide, but isn't able to rule out homicide. Jane had been fined the year before for stealing greeting cards and perfume,. She said that any time something triggered a memory of her time with billy, she got this uncontrollable urge to steal. In some ways, jane did escape billy when she pulled the trigger to end his life. But in other ways, she could never escape. And ten years later, was billy's final act of violence.
