The Importance of Understanding Science

There's a wide spectrum of people who deny the Big Bang, there's some people like Mike Pence who thinks the world is 6,000 years old. The problem is that for many people they feel that things like evolution or the Big Bang are inconsistent with their belief in God. I think it's unfair to classify all religious people under one umbrella any more than is to classify anyone else. We should not consider ourselves literate without even some understanding of what science has brought over the last century.
