Leonardo's Gay Life

The drama has chosen to perhaps make, make Leonardo and Sala more equal in age for the purpose of the drama. And I'm interested in your opinion of the dramas taken general, they do obviously portray him as a gay man. Do you think this will be surprising for modern audiences? Or do you think that this aspect of his private life and his relationships is well known?
