Is There a Comparative Approach to Information Management?

There is an explicit comparison here between early modern information management technologies and in turn, the those information management technologies upon which they're based. Can you talk a little bit about whether that interest in ambroaching this kind of comparative way of thinking about information may have shaped om your work? I don't think i set out to sort of show the origins of modern information upon a rule i always think of myself that's really interested past and present. But as i was looking at these books and using them and trying to understand how they were made, i just, what really struck me throughout was how very familiar, ah, these tools are,. How we operate using the same basic manoeuvres.
