When i joined the foreign press corps in 20 11, and that meant that i could join the chinese and russian journalists. Normally, when we go in as american or foreign correspondents, we're taken on these very highly orchestrated trips in pion yang. And so it was important to me to get beyond that pretty picture that the regime likes to present in the capital and firust. To see what the reality of life was like every day for the average north crean - a big generalization.
