Do Mutations on the Omicron Variant Make It More Infectious?
Omicron has 32 mutations on the spike protein. That could tend to make it more transmissible. It's causing mild infection, but most of the people getting infected there are young. We don't know whether it's going to cause more severe disease in south africa. And we'd always talked about six months being the absolute sweet spot for a third booster dose - and that is still the case.
