Relationships - The Specificity of Language
LZ Granderson: We tend to make everything about us or seem like it's under our control. People are very loose with their language, right? So take something as simple as meeting a friend for a coffee. Someone might say I'll meet you there at two o'clock and they get there at five past two. It's not a life-threatening situation but that is a demonstration of where they don't have a relationship with their own word. LZ: You're either in my world having an intimate relationship with your language everywhere or you're not.
