Spinal Cord Radiographs - What You Need to Know
In a lateral radiograph, it's important to look for the diameter of the spinal canal. A pavlav ratio of less than point eight suggests a congenitally narrow spinal canal predisposing to stinosis and cord compression. Findings may include effacement of c s f, which indicates functional stenosis. 70 % of patients by 70 years of age will have degenerative changes seen on plane x rays.
